What is the best way to get DVDs to play perfectly on my laptop?

Every time you play a DVD using my Windows Media Player, While playing pathetic. They are agitated and the screen flickers constantly. DVDs play better on my small portable DVD than they do on this laptop. Just do not understand Why are so bad and play. I have an Acer Aspire 5100-3019. get a new software. I do not use Windows Media Player to play my DVDs and I I use a Mac and comes with its own DVD player. try to look for free DVD playback software from Google. Also, do not open too many applications simultaneously. close all programs when playing a DVD on your PC.
